Michael Helder Reynolds, the Chief Research and Accountability Officer for Missouri's Kansas City Public Schools, was recently presented with the 2019 Research and Assessment Leadership Award at the Council of the Great City Schools' Curriculum, Research and Instructional Leaders' Meeting in San Diego.
The award is presented to an urban school district official who has demonstrated excellence in the field of research and assessment.
Reynolds received the award for his research on the impact of evictions on students' academic achievement in the Kansas City school system.
Sponsored by American Reading Company, the award comes with a $1,000 prize.
