Fall Conference to Feature Political Analyst Chuck Todd

  • As the nation gears up for the 2024 elections, urban educators will hear from one of the nation’s most prominent political analyst, Chuck Todd, when he addresses the Council of the Great City Schools’ 68th Annual Fall Conference, Oct. 16-20 in Dallas.

From 2014 to 2023, Todd served as the moderator of Meet the Press, the longest-running broadcast in television history and the top-rated Sunday public affairs program for several consecutive years. As NBC News’ chief political analyst, he plays a key role in shaping the network’s political coverage.

Previously, Todd served as NBC News’ chief White House correspondent (2008–2014), as well as the host of NBC News’ The Daily Rundown (2010–2014), featuring interviews with members of Congress and other newsmakers.

He is the author of two books, How Barack Obama Won (2009) and The Stranger: Barack Obama in the White House (2014), and contributes to leading publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Atlantic.

The Council’s five-day conference will feature two other keynote speakers: Isabel Wilkerson, New York Times Best-Selling Author and Pulitzer Prize Winner, and electrical engineer and citizen astronaut Katya Echazarreta. In addition, Todd will moderate a national town hall meeting featuring students from urban school districts across the country.

Under the banner “Leading Innovation & Transformation, We Do Urban Education,” the conference will be hosted by the Dallas Independent School District and held at the Dallas Sheraton Hotel. To register for the conference, click here.
