East Baton Rogue Joins the Council

East Baton Rouge Parish School System recently joined the Council of the Great City Schools, increasing the organization’s membership to 77 school districts. The district is the second largest school system in Louisiana, serving more than 41,000 students, and is led by Superintendent Sito Narcisse. Notable alumni of the district include the two current United States senators from Louisiana, U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy, and U.S. Sen. John Kennedy; former Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal; and actress Lynn Whitfield.
