As the Conference Manager for the Council of the Great City Schools, Alexis Vann is responsible for planning several of the Council’s job-alike meetings and conferences, including the Annual Fall Conference. In this position, she develops, coordinates, and manages the Council’s meeting and conference registration process and logistics; conducts site visits; creates registration materials; and manages communications and tasks associated with room list management, including securing guestrooms. She also acts as the primary on-site point of contact for conference attendees and hotel staff. In addition, she communicates with sponsors and assists in managing the Council’s Blue Ribbon Corporate Advisory Group.
Prior to joining the Council in 2018, Alexis worked at BerkleyNet as a Policy Management Specialist.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Valley Forge Christian College.
FUN FACTS: Alexis enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters and has served as a student ambassador in England, Ireland, and Wales.
