Kalin Hicks is the Communications Specialist at the Council of the Great City Schools, where he creates content for the Council’s social media channels. He also updates the website; creates graphics for the Council’s conferences, social media channels and website; maintains the Council’s database; proofreads articles and press releases; and is responsible for the layout and distribution of the Urban Educator digital newsletter.
Before becoming the Communications Specialist in 2021, he served as an intern in the Council’s communications department.
A native of New York, Kalin graduated from Townson University with a degree in Communication Studies.
FUN FACTS: Kalin is an avid soccer fan and does photography at soccer games for Maryland Bobcats FC. He also enjoys volunteering as a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.
