  • Delisa Nuñez is the Partnership Specialist of the Council of the Great City Schools. She supports existing and establishes new community partnership models with national organizations working to support students in member districts. Her role also includes ongoing project management tracking and implementation support for Council staff and consultants.

    She has a proven track record of success in the education sector, having held positions in school districts in Texas and California. Prior to joining the Council, she served as the Facilities Services Manager at the San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD). In 2020, she was recognized as a G.E.M.S. (Great Employees Modeling our Standards) Honoree by senior leadership at SAISD. The G.E.M.S. award program recognizes employees who embody SAISD’s core values of commitment, passion, integrity, respect, and teamwork.

    Delisa is a certified Lean Six Sigma professional, which is a process improvement approach used to improve efficiency and eliminate waste in business processes. This certification is a valuable asset that has helped her to improve the efficiency and productivity of the organizations she has worked for.

    Delisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Public Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

    FUN FACTS: Delisa finds joy and fulfillment in music. She attends concerts regularly, owns 4 ukuleles, and sings in a band with her friends.
