    The White House's "My Brother's Keeper" initiative represents a nationwide effort to improve the outcomes of Males of Color through partnerships with community organizations, school districts, and the business community.  This webpage contains resources, blog posts, volunteer opportunities and reports on the progress of the initiatives to support Males of Color. 
     
    Office for Civil Rights (OCR)

    The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) collects data from every public school and school district in the country as part of the Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC).  The CRDC collects a variety of information including, student enrollment and educational programs and services, disaggregated by race/ethnicity, sex, limited English proficiency and disability.  This information is public and can be used by policymakers and researchers.  

    Common Core Data (CCD)

    The Common Core of Data (CCD) is the Department of Education's primary database on public elementary and secondary education in the United States. CCD is a comprehensive, annual, national statistical database of all public elementary and secondary schools and school districts, which contains data that are designed to be comparable across all states.

    The NAEP Data Explorer (NDE) hosts an assortment of tools to analyze student performance on NAEP across the nation, in large cities, and certain urban districts.  NDE allows you to create statistical tables, charts, and maps to explore the results of decades of assessment of students' academic performance, as well as information about factors that may be related to their learning.  

    IPEDS gathers information from every college, university, and technical and vocational institution that participates in the federal student financial aid program.  These data include enrollments, program completions, graduation rates, faculty and staff, finances, institutional prices, and student financial aid.
