Word Generation in Boston Public Schools: Natural History of a Literacy Intervention

This report documents the work of Dr. Joshua Lawrence and Dr. Catherine Snow, profesors at Harvard Graduate School of Education working in conjunction with the Strategic Education Research Partnership (SERP) in Boston Public Schools. They explore the key school-level features impacting the quality of implementation of Word Generation, a cross-content academic vocabulary program organized around weekly civic dilemmas selected to motivate students and provide opportunities for writing/discussions.
