The Council of the Great City Schools will hold its 70^th Annual Fall Conference Oct. 21-25, in Boston.

Hosted by Boston Public Schools, the four-day conference will feature presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, journalist Jorge Ramos, and the members of the musical group Black Violin as keynote speakers.

More than 1,000 big-city school superintendents, school board members, college deans of education, and senior administrators will assemble at the Boston Marriott Copley to discuss and share information and best practices to improve teaching and learning in urban schools.
