The Pittsburgh Public Schools has an opening for Principal, Pittsburgh Rogers CAPA Middle School.
Pittsburgh Rogers CAPA is a Creative & Performing Arts magnet school for grades 6-8. It combines a strong academic program and focused artistic program with master classes offered in most art forms. The instructional program is designed around the District’s core curriculum for grades 6-8.
The Principal must be committed to providing students with in-depth and rigorous instruction in the arts and academics, an awareness of cultural diversity, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be committed to continued partnerships with arts organizations which is a strong component to the school’s program. Experience in a performing arts school setting is recommended.
A Master’s degree in Educational Administration is required. In the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a valid State Certification for K-12 Principal is required. Five years teaching experience, as well as five years experience as an administrator or supervisor is also required.
